Adult & Tertiary Teaching
People Potential offers a range of Adult Teaching qualifications for a range of abilities and skills, click into each programme to find out more about what each course can offer you.
These qualifications are suitable for adult educators working in education and training, including polytechnics, wananga, private training establishments and on-job training in workplaces.
There are two programmes that focus on Adult and Tertiary Teaching:
Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 4)
Develop your confidence and skills in tutoring and lesson planning!
Adult and Tertiary Teaching (Level 5)
Develop your tutoring, assessment and development skills!
Both programmes are run over a series of scheduled workshops usually held at the Whangarei Campus but if there is sufficient interest other venues will be considered.
Workplace Assessor Training
This programme is a fee paying two-day course for people working in the industry and require the unit standard 4098 for assessing competency standards.
Assessment Practice Level 4
Add to your professional development as an assessor and get qualified to undertake the assessment of learners in the adult and tertiary education sector.
These programmes are open to all people aged 16 years and over and have left school. Students need to have a desire to gain qualifications in the relevant industry and progress to employment if not already employed in the industry.
Students will also need to have an appropriate level of literacy and numeracy skills to study at the programme level which will be assessed during the selection interview process, the Selection interview process is completed to ensure the best possible chance of student success.
