Forces Cadets

This programme is designed for people who want a career in the New Zealand Police, Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) or Fire Service. We will help you make it through the rigorous selections to start your career and assist you with the recruitment process.

It has a strong focus on preparing participants for a career in these industries in Northland and beyond, by staircasing into advanced qualifications or gaining employment.

We will help work out a plan for the future, increase confidence, learn a variety of practical skills and work towards the National Certificate in Educational Achievement.

Programme content includes

English and Maths
Fitness Training and Swimming 
Introduction to Maori Language, Protocol and Cultural Awareness 
Typing and Word Processing 
Interview and Communication Skills
Personal Presentation 
Customer Service Skills 
Industry Exposure 
Up to date CV stored on a secure database for future updates 
and much much more!!!!

Students will also have the opportunity to gain

Drivers Licence
First Aid Certificate

There will be tutor led sessions, group and individual work involved.

Special conditions apply

Students must have no criminal convictions, be able to pass a medical certificate and hold or be able to get a full car driver licence.
