Workplace Assessor Training is designed

• To meet the needs of Industry Training Organisations
• To train assessors who need to evaluate performance against unit standards
• To ensure competent assessors are available to measure workplace competency

Unit 4098; Use Standards to Assess Candidate Performance:

This unit is suitable for people who assess the performance or others against competency standards, such as NZQA unit standards.  It specifically targets assessment done using guidelines, which might be provided by an industry training organisation or training provider.

Workplace assessors and Polytechnic? PTE tutors find it particularly relevant.

This unit standard covers:

• planning an assessment using supplied assessment procedures
• carrying out the assessment
• giving feedback to the candidate
• recording & reporting the assessment results

As part of the assessment for this unit you must conduct two assessments of candidates.

Unit 11552; Design Assessment:

This unit replaces unit standard 4099.  This unit is suitable for people who are required to design assessment material which assesses the performance of other against competency standards such as the NZQA unit standards.

This unit standard covers:

• developing an appropriate and effective assessment strategy
• evaluating assessment materials

People Potential will also be able to offer the Recognition of Prior Learning process for unit standard 11552 for candidates who hold unit standard 4099.  Contact us for further details.

Cancellation Policy:

In the unlikely event that People Potential Ltd is unable to offer the course, a full refund will be available to any student who has prepaid.  Prepaid participants who are unable to attend may defer their place to the next course.

Cost:

As per above.  Partcipants are responsible for payment of NZQA hook-ons.  Credit registration is covered in the course fee.
